Hope you had a good weekend.

Us boys had a cracker! Heaps of longboarding…

On Saturday Dion and myself hit a few hills around Hallet Cove, Sheidow Park, and Moana. Found some wicked corners to practice sliding and speed checks.

Then on Monday we all went up to the Adelaide Hills and hit a few spots. Ironbank first, which is a downhill run with a huge sweeping left-hand corner which you have to pre-drift. Heaps of fun!

We then went over to Haywood Avenue which is near Mount Osmond. We met up with 3 guys from Adelaide and a guy from Sydney, Jackson Shapiera, who is the 7th best guy in the world. Haywood is a HARDCORE downhill/freeride run where you’ve gotta be able to throw slides at up to 80k’s. It’s the most hardcore run thats being done in Adelaide at the moment. There are only 3 or 4 Adelaide guys that do it, plus Oliver, Dion & myself. It’s insane! The first corner is an extremely tight left-hand hairpin (the recommended speed around there is 15kph) and you come up to it SO fast. In the big straight leading up to it, you have to do two speed checks. We all had a couple runs down it, and all had at least one crash, including the Adelaide guys and the Sydney guy. Dion had a pretty big one, his board hit a guardrail and snapped his truck. One of the Adelaide guys had one of his wheel cores melt out and fly off, so it was all very action packed! Standing up the top of the hill was like being at Bathurst, so scary!
